Install the apps and enable app embeds

Every BSS B2B app adds its storefront features through a Shopify app embed. Installing the app is not enough: if the app embed is off, rules save in the admin but nothing changes on your storefront.

1. Install the app

1. Open the app listing on the Shopify App Store and click Install.
2. Review the requested permissions and approve.
3. The app opens in your Shopify admin under Apps.

2. Turn on the app embed

1. In Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes and click Customize on your live theme.
2. In the theme editor, open App embeds (the puzzle icon in the left sidebar).
3. Turn on the embed for the app you installed, then click Save.

Changing or duplicating your theme

App embeds are saved per theme. After you publish a different theme, open the theme editor again and turn the app embed on for the new live theme.

App-specific setup

Some apps need one more step after the embed:

• BSS B2B Solution shows the app embed status on its home dashboard, with an Open theme editor shortcut. See Enable or Disable the App in Your Theme.
• BSS B2B Quote creates Shopify pages for Quick Order, Reorder and quotes when you publish them. See the Quick Start.
• BSS B2B Lock installs its lock code into your theme from the Installation screen. The app embed powers extra storefront pieces such as the passcode pop-up on collections, the request access form and hiding dynamic checkout buttons. See Install & Open BSS B2B Lock.

Still not showing?

1. Check the app embed is on for the live theme (not a draft or duplicate).
2. Open your store in a private/incognito window, so you see it as a customer, not as a logged-in admin.
