Quote Request Management

This section explains how to use the Quote Request area: the central workspace where your sales team views, filters, exports, negotiates, and processes all price requests.

The Quote Request area is the central hub for all RFQ activity across your storefronts.

From here, you can:

  • Review and track every quote request submitted by customers.
  • Filter by date ranges (All Time, Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days, This Month) and customize table pagination (10, 50, 100 rows/page).
  • Export quote records to CSV format for external accounting or spreadsheet analysis.
  • Create new quotes manually on behalf of customers (phone or email sales).
  • Set Expired Dates to manage price validity and mitigate inventory risk.
  • Send professional proposal emails with PDF attachments and one-click Approve/Reject buttons.
  • Convert approved quotes into official Shopify Draft Orders.

  • View & Edit Quote: Detailed guide to the quote table, filters, CSV export, itemized pricing edits, and draft order conversions.
  • Create Quote in Admin: Step-by-step instructions for creating and dispatching manual quotes on behalf of clients.
  • Customer Quote History: Customer-facing Quote History portal and CMS customization options.

Every quote has exactly one of four statuses:

Status Meaning
Unread A new quote that has not been opened yet
Under review You are working on it: adjusting prices, items or shipping
Converted The quote became a Shopify draft order, and the buyer receives an invoice by email
Rejected The buyer declined the proposal, or you marked the quote as rejected

Two badges can appear next to the status; they are not statuses of their own:

  • Proposal sent: a proposal email with your prices reached the buyer.
  • Expired: the expiry date has passed and the quote is not Converted or Rejected. It is a reminder only.

See Quote statuses and lifecycle for what moves a quote from one status to the next.
