Ask Shopify Sidekick About Your B2B Rules
BSS B2B Solution gives Shopify Sidekick read-only access to your B2B setup. Ask Sidekick in the Shopify admin and it answers with the actual rules, instead of you opening Custom Pricing, Order Limit and Tax Exempt one by one. Nothing to set up: installing the app is enough.
Questions you can ask:
- “What pricing applies to the
wholesaletag?” - “Can customers tagged
distributorpay on Net 30?” - “Is the
resellertag tax exempt?” - “How do customers get the
viptag?” - “How many B2B registrations are waiting for approval?”
- “Which B2B modules are turned on in this store?”
What Sidekick Can Look Up
Section titled “What Sidekick Can Look Up”| Ask about | Covers |
|---|---|
| Pricing | Custom Pricing, Price List, Volume Pricing, Shipping Rate, Extra Fee |
| Ordering rules | Order Limit, Quantity Increment, Net Terms |
| Discounts | Discount Code |
| Tax | Tax Display, Tax Exempt |
| Tagging | Auto Tags: which rules add a tag, and which rules a tag triggers |
| Registration | Your registration forms, and registrations by status (pending, approved, rejected) |
| Modules | Which B2B modules are enabled |
Buy One Get One, Multiple Currency, Manual Orders and Orders Custom Fields are not covered.
For each rule, Sidekick tells you its name, module, whether it is active, its priority, the customer tags it targets, whether it has exclusions, and where to find it in the app. For Auto Tags it also says whether the tag alone is enough to trigger the rule, or is one of several conditions.
Read the Answers Carefully
Section titled “Read the Answers Carefully”- Sidekick does not decide which rule wins. It lists every matching rule with its priority; the final price also depends on the product, cart and market.
- Only tag-based rules are listed. A rule for all customers or all logged-in customers does not appear in a tag lookup, so “no results” does not mean the tag is unaffected.
- Tags in an exclusion list only are not returned.
- Tag matching is exact (not case-sensitive). If nothing comes back, check the spelling.
- Answers are capped at 20 rules (10 for Price List); Sidekick says when some are left out.
- “Couldn’t check” is not “nothing found”. If an area could not be reached, Sidekick says which one. Open that module in the app, or ask again later.
