Exporting Rules and Data
Most rule lists in BSS B2B Solution have an Export action. The export runs in the background, so you can keep working, and ends with a download link.
What You Can Export
Section titled “What You Can Export”| From | You get |
|---|---|
| Custom Pricing, Price List, Volume Pricing | The rules, as CSV or Excel |
| Shipping Rate, Extra Fee | Every rule with its conditions and rate or fee tiers, as CSV or Excel (Platinum plan) |
| Auto Tags, Quantity Increments, Order Limit | Every rule, as CSV |
| Net Terms orders | The orders you are looking at, with their terms and due status |
| Registration management | The applicants of a form, with their answers |
How an Export Runs
Section titled “How an Export Runs”- Click Export. The dialog tells you how many rows will be exported, and for some lists lets you choose the scope and the file format.
- A progress banner fills as the file is built. You can leave the page: the export keeps running.
- When it is done, the banner shows a download link. Dismiss the banner after downloading.
Only one export runs per store and per module at a time. If a colleague already started one, clicking Export joins that run.
What Gets Exported
Section titled “What Gets Exported”Where a list supports it, the export follows what you are looking at:
- Rows you selected (also across pages), otherwise
- The current search or filter, otherwise
- Everything.
Export History and Download Links
Section titled “Export History and Download Links”Modules with an Export history page (Custom Pricing, Price List, Volume Pricing, Shipping Rate, Extra Fee, Auto Tags, Order Limit, Quantity Increments, Net Terms orders and registered customers) list past exports with their date, row count and a download link.
A download link works for 24 hours. After that, run the export again: it is quick.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”- “No data to export”: your filter or selection matched nothing. Clear the search and try again.
- The progress banner seems stuck: reload the page. The progress comes from the server, so a reload shows the real state.
- The export failed: the banner shows why. Running it again is safe.
- Accents look wrong in Excel: open the CSV file directly in Excel (it is UTF-8), or choose the Excel format where available.
